Adapting to a Changing World

We are making history, right now.  The e-books of the future will look back at these times as an era of significant change, when financial, political and physical landscapes began to shift to new positions, in a world which continues to amaze, surprise and challenge its inhabitants.  We are not the first to have experienced change at this level, it has always been happening and like all species over the millennia, adaptation is the key to survival.  Those who adapt the best will thrive, building a new and exciting future built on resilience, flexibility and excellence.

The process of adaptation is a challenge in itself.  To be successful in the new world requires a new way of thinking and the ability to dig much deeper into our mental and physical resources. Today’s ways of working may not fit tomorrow’s world and if what you are doing now isn’t working, then it’s time to adapt and change.

To think differently is to unlock the psychological chains which bind us into the ruts of life.  You only need to watch the news or read a broadsheet to feel those chains becoming ever tighter.  To break free requires a re-organisation of the neural networks and an understanding of our behaviour at the unconscious level.  Once we can establish communication internally and begin to exert control over our own thinking, then we can begin the process of adaptation, with such strength, power and vigour that success is the inevitable outcome.

As human beings, we are not psychologically hard wired in a rigid and fixed manner.  Our neurology is totally flexible and open to transformation at any time, you simply require some insight into how to make change happen by making new neurological connections and by lighting up parts of your neurology that have rested in darkness for so long.  You’ve heard of having a ‘light bulb moment’, as the lights go on, creativity and innovation increase, thinking adapts to the environment and quite suddenly, you are adapting your behaviour and experiencing a different world.

Perhaps it is the need to transform our thinking that has lead to the marked increase in the search for new knowledge and access to our inner selves during the past 12 months?  Global corporations and private individuals alike have begun to search for new learning to ease them through this transitory time, to seek help to adapt and thrive.  The one learning that can provide this precious resource is NLP.  A discipline that has been in our lives for over 45 years is now a well developed, contemporary and exciting enabler of change.  NLP is how we, as individuals are going to develop new ways of thinking and drive forward into a new era of abundance and success.

Time and change are factors in life which are constant.  We may feel motivated or challenged by either or by both and it is this reaction and subsequent action or inaction which dictates how we journey forward along our chosen paths.

Change may appear enormous and seemingly insurmountable, or it may be perceived in a more manageable light, even as a time for opportunity and advancement. The delightful truth is that it is actually our gift to decide which of these options we are going to experience. The magnitude of change is a matter of personal perception and the life projection which follows.

To meet inevitable change positively may require the acquisition of new personal resources.  Resources take many varied forms.  The inner self may require personal investment to achieve new levels of motivation, confidence, self-belief, values, energy and self-esteem.  Inner processing may require new skills and new learning in order to launch personal capability to a higher platform.  Together, the developed inner self and enhanced inner processing, elevate our competency and transform us into desirable propositions for employers and market places alike.  Through self-investment, change now feels like opportunity.  A changing world is not the place to push investment in self to the base of the priority pile.  You are your priority and your success not only enhances your own life, it also lights up the lives of those you care about most.

Transforming yourself to the glorious heights of excellent entrepreneurs and business icons is eminently possible and takes tenacity, determination and effort and it need not be difficult.  Any expert can be modelled and emulated to produce excellence.  NLP was born out of modelling process and is the key to transporting yourself from a stuck position with no visibility of the future, to a position of achievement and success where the future has clarity and focus.

The foundation of NLP is excellent communication.  Communication isn’t just about the critical interactions with the people around us.  Even more important to our success is the quality of the communication we employ within ourselves.  Internal dialogue and how we represent the world internally creates our emotional state and affects our physiology, producing a resultant behavioural pattern which in turn specifies our results.  In the absence of detailed instruction, it is very difficult to alter our internal processing and dialogue and therefore to produce controlled and desired behaviour.  Fortunately for us, NLP provides the detailed instruction and specified outcomes can be achieved by acknowledging and transforming entrenched thinking and behavioural patterns.

The important element in all of the changes in the world is simple, it’s you. Only you can choose to avoid extinction, to adapt and to thrive, to climb out of the rut, shed the chains of doom and gloom and break out into a bright new future.  It’s about innovation, creativity, entrepreneurial thinking and choice.  It’s choosing to take responsibility for your outcomes and the choice is yours to take, now. NLP will light the path towards your undeniable adaptation and success.
